Beat My Bracket is operated by Genii IT Services Private Limited. For privacy-related questions, contact support@beatmybracket.com.
2. Information we collect
When you use Beat My Bracket, we may collect:
- Bracket data - your picks, champion selection, bracket ID, and timestamps when you save a bracket
- Display name - if you unlock the leaderboard, the name you provide (up to 40 characters)
- Payment references - order and payment IDs from Razorpay (we do not store your full card or UPI details; Razorpay handles payment data)
- Technical data - standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and debugging
- Local storage - your bracket ID may be stored in your browser so you can return to your card
We do not require account registration, email, or phone number to play for free.
3. How we use information
We use collected information to:
- Save and display your bracket and shareable card
- Calculate scores and show leaderboard rankings
- Process optional unlock payments
- Maintain, secure, and improve the Service
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Third-party services
We use trusted providers to run the Service:
- Supabase - database hosting (bracket and leaderboard data)
- Razorpay - payment processing for optional unlocks
- Vercel - application hosting and delivery
These providers process data under their own privacy policies. Payment information is handled directly by Razorpay.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers listed above, or when required by law. Bracket picks and leaderboard display names are publicly visible on shared links and the leaderboard page.
6. Retention
Bracket data is retained for the duration of the tournament experience and a reasonable period afterward. Server logs are retained for a limited time for security purposes.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures including HTTPS, server-side data access controls, and payment verification. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Your choices
You can clear your browser's local storage to remove the locally saved bracket ID. To request deletion of server-side bracket data, email support@beatmybracket.com with your bracket ID.
9. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Paid unlocks require users to meet the age requirements in our Terms.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
